Minutes from the March 13, 2018 Pastoral Council Meeting

• The council evaluated the Lenten program thus far and gave it an A+.  It reviewed plans for our Parish Lenten retreat day and Parish Mission.
• We discussed Easter Sunday—this year there will be additional Masses as well as simulcasting to the lower Church on Easter to help deal with the overcrowding.
• The Faith full Food Drive is off to a good start with 146 bags already collected. 
• The car being raffled off this year will be a silver Mercedes Sedan.
• Instead of the Ministry Fair this year we will have a Pentecostal Call to Ministry.  This is still being planned by a subcommittee of the council.
• In response to a request from Cape Hope we have decided to be a sponsoring Church. Occasional donations will be given as well as the possibility of an annual fundraiser.
• We will continue to have House of Charity Collection in the summer since the diocese could not change our start time.  The summer will also be the beginning of Catholic Strong (a five year diocesan fundraiser).
